Try using opera mini to change the extension of the files you want to restrict unwanted access. Just a simple technique.

Hi guys. we're about to get lucky. Have any of you check out the new S.E W610? Its only a slim version of the S.E W810. Everything is the same: a 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, autofocus, video and flash camera; Java MIDP 2.0; a TFT, 256K colors 1.9 inches screen; FM radio with RDS; But the best of all, it comes with a Walkman player 2.0!!
That mean is we will be able to flash our W810 into a W610 and get the Walkman player 2.0!! Its a great cheat. We won't need to spend energy on modifying a Walkman player 2.0 of the W830 to make it work on our W810 or K750. Sony ericsson have done it for us. Someone just need to work on the flash now. I can't wait. Lets keep up our hope. |

hi guys,
well if someone can figure out and tell me... see...i got a w810i, locked by a provider. i got it unlocked, and now it works with my provider... but now, the problem is that i cant use mp3 files as my ringtunes.... when i found that it is locked by the main provider, i can only download them and can use as ringtunes... well its kinda sucks. if someone can tell me how can i use mp3 as ringtunes or kinda unlock it, i would really appreciate.
can we install applications on this phone? as its a java supported phone. well if someone can get me a link for that would be really great.

Flash it & i haven't upgraded, not much phones out that i would considering upgrading my w810 to.

Where did you find about it ??? Right now I'm Searching SE Site. It's takin forever to load.

Looks to me as if it would cost more than the 830i . It seems to hav all the features and more.

I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. More or less a year ago, my boss brought a SE W810i (black) unlocked, unbranded from USA as a gift... more or less six months later, sunny Sunday, on a shop, sending some work emails, 2pm... a thief put a gun against my back and stole it (also a borrowed Blackberry Pearl from the office, ID's, credit card, debit card, driver's license and my personal peace) I'm still crying for that bloody moment... Just until next week, when a friend of mine will give me my new SE W810i WHITE!!!
I really love this cell phone. My brother started with the brand a couple of years ago using the SE T290... a few months after, I bought a SE T637 and then, the stolen W810... The screen, the sound, the menu, the files manager, the camera quality (the same than my old Sony Cybershot P-31) the way to plug and the plugs of the headsets, USB cable, charger... nothing like that... I'll keep checking the thread to find more information, upgrades and information from The Clan...

Well Alvin, you thought well. though i haven't gone through to confirm that both phone are the same. However, if their hardware are the same then, you thought wouln't be far from being possible. nice thought anyway.
peace to the clan. i've been away esato for some time now. i think things are a bit boring these days.
Love my W810 and i'm still loving it!

just wanted to peep and say hello to the "clan" 
i also own a W810 (-i and its white!). i sort of modded it cosmetically: W800's orange chassis including its back primarily to protect the precious camera lens; the front is, well, a W810 of course i guess, i just wanted to own a unique W810... here it is, take a peek, mates:
for those who are curious enough, below you will find the link for a simple step-by-step guideline on changing the back housing of your W810 with that of the W800 in order to have protection for the scratch-prone W810 camera lens:

@aldrinus, as I've mentioned in your thread, I think that's a great mod you did. Also, I think it's time I said hi to the W810 clan too! Now I finally understand why people say it's one of the legendary SE phones. My previous phone was the K750 and boy was I pleased with it. I didn't think there was any phone that could be more satisfying to use, but my w810 proved me wrong. I love it to bits now!

i don't know. after that mod, i again changed the chassis into the w800's orange. but i guess, this mod would be the last. my friends are already telling me that i might destroy the phone in the process
