@ Wanqa, Kryptik and Gola
thanx for that link Wanqa, some realy great advice there, luckily i did most of that, ate a lot of meat before drinking, had quite a few soft drinks and was on the dancefloor for a while, and guess who we found ourselves dancing with? Ms. PJ Powers or whatever her name is, drunk as well, had a blast though, and just have a bit of a headache this morning, and a seriously sore left hand thumb, who knows what i did, but its now double the size it was before, but i can still move it a bit.

Mrs PJ Powers. What a lag Thanks GUCCI.You cheered me up.Thats funny.I have some theories on that sore thumb of yours but its best to leave it at that.(Its involves the aging Mrs Powers) lol
Off to work. The sad thing is,the client liked the sandstone technique so much he's given us more to do.Dont know if I want to laugh or cry.Whats cool though is that we going to silver leaf his Gym walls. Its going to look wicked.

@Kryptik-Its the 'mob mentality' that really gets me too.

LOL! Ye rather leave it at that.
@ Kyle and JC
I wouldn't be suprised if they moved the FIFA Cup somewhere else either, i think it would be good actualy, SA is not ready for such a big world event in my opinion.

PJ Powers... LMAO! Now there's a legendary anti-apartheid singer from my early teenage years, LOL.
Kryptik, I'm sure, will also have lots of memories of her significance in the 80's.
Eish, it took a while to remember her old band's name (Hotline) prior to her solo career. I can remember her songs like Jabulani and You're So Good To Me, but I think that song she did for the Rugby World Cup in SA (World In Union) will always be the most universally recognisable.

And here's Gucci grooving with ol' 'Thandeka'. Great stuff.
The G-Man's got himself in some cool social circles, by the sounds of things.

I'm trying not to dwell too much on how you got that swollen left thumb, LOL.

Wow, talk about a flashback!! She certainly left her mark on the S.A. music scene, that's for sure. The lady was one of the few paler faced singers at the time who was revered by all. I remember when she and Steve Kekana performed at the Rio Cinema in New Brighton here in Port Elizabeth, back in the early 80s. Back then she and her band had to get permits and police clearance in order to be in a predominantly black suburb. New Brighton isn't too far from Algoa Park, where i now live. In those years it was considered a stronghold of the Herstigte Nasionale Party and the like, and to get to New Brighton, unless one had wheels, you had to hoof it through from traditionally coloured suburbs. Man, the HNP had such a massive demonstration going on because of this white lady singing in the townships! I recall that my coloured friends and i were escorted through the suburb by a group of our white buddies, else we'd never make it through what was then considered mostly hostile territory. Hehehe, it was well worth the adventure though, together their voices were magical.
