Nothing about OMAP, but likewise nothing about Nexperia.
For what I can see, it looks like it records in MP4 (H.263 encoding) - or is at least capable of encoding in this format - and audio is AAC or MP3.
I believe it's OMAP CPU, since Motorola has 2 UIQ phones powered by Omap and since Motorola UIQ had already finished it's implementation with the processor the research and development to implement it on BeiBei will be faster and less expensive imo. but i would also hope that it would be Qualcomm snapdragon powered so that SE could integrate ATi graphics chip on it

@mizzle,
Looks like beibei is the SE answer to N82?
2.4" is a lil small. Will it have adjustable text message size? Thanks |

Could Beibei be announced on Sunday, 27 of January? SE have some sort of Walkman/Midemnet thing on that day?

I dont think its SEs answer to the N82. Its a walkman phone for starters and its cam is only 3.2mp and with an LED flash.
I heard P5 will use an OMAP 3 series chip so might we see that in this phone too? To be honest id be happy even with a 2nd series chip.

Doesn't necessarily mean SEMC will have it easier / faster.
Why would Moto share their IP wrt to the 2420 baseport with SEMC?
Nokia had a Symbian baseport to 2420 before Moto, it didn't help Moto at all.
Trust me, Motorola and SEMC have tried to explore synergies within UIQ3.x where they can share costs but finding those areas has proved to be difficult.

go for the w960i for now, as this will take a few months for release.

Got word that the new Symbian phones from SE already have firmware downloads at EMMA III, but no one seems to have a user/pass for it.

Correct, but they need a place to host the unfinished versions of the firmwares.
