Maybe not the precise design, but the philosophy of it all. The Paris-esque vertical slider with full QWERTY, no D-pad, widescreen display (to facilitate S60 5th's 16:9?), metal, and Xperia label. It would match up to the rumors thus far. |

Perhaps it will come with both normal keypad and Qwerty keypad.
one for business users, other one walkman? just my guess..

The Hikaru rumours are a bit confusing.
One rumours points at it being a Walkman device, however, at the same time it it supposed to have a qwerty of some sort (e.g. Paris).
Qwerty's are normally associated with business devices so I'm none the wiser I guess.
Perhaps there are two different phones and the codenames are just confused. Like one of the models that one of the leakers thought was Hikaru is actually not Hikaru... Just a thought.

Various sources are saying it'll be a Walkman with at least 8GB internal - which makes sense.
Business devices, unlike music phones, are not usually reknowned for their huge internal memory and the W960i replacement is now overdue.

Hikaru looks a bit like Paris.
good to know that the odds are in favor of it not being ugly.

If it is the next Walkman then it'll be a full multimedia phone I guess, a la N85. But since doesn't have the time to develop a completely different OS (the SF decision is too recent) then it will be probably be based off on A300, if there is one. Maximys said in his blog that "2009 will be year of Walkman phones". Fortunately people have taken a clue from somewhere and put a quite decent camera on W902. |

not really excited. just a glimmer of hope for "shock"
if it's nothing special, i won't be disappointed. I'm already expecting to wait til second half of 2009 before upgrading anyway...

That phone is absolutely insane.... 3.8" touchscreen with 1024x480 resolution!!
Anyways....SE should just ditch the walkman brand, since they refuse to use 3.5mm headphone jacks. Most people don't like some ugly adapter hanging from their phone.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. |
