@ bulukaki, date isn not printed on the photo and exif data is included in the photo. Right click some photo you have and then go to Details. All the exif data is listed there.

@ shawon 1. it only resets the animation.

Had my K850 for a while now. Was bought with 037 firmware already installed.
Have had the lens shutter stick on me today. Only thing thats happened so far. A quick shutdown and powerup and was all sorted.

I'd originally opted for a P1i last year for my upgrade as I didnt like the feel of the K850. But now I have had a chance to mess with one. I'm liking it

Personally I'm quite happy with the 037 firmware. Seems ok to me so far.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose

I would just like to know if these are possible bugs: (R1DA038) (02 Branded)

1) In the main menu of the media application ( where it lists "pictures" , "Music" etc.) you can "kill" the glowing orbs in the background by pressing the "c" key on the keypad.

2) When playing music in the media application, and minimize the application with the music still playing in the background, if you view your IMEI number then the media will crash and music will stop playing.

Does anyone know if these are known bugs / or bugs at all?

Or is it just my phone and need to have it replaced?

@shawon
yeah, the balls stop when you hit C in media - I'd say it's a feature rather than a bug, in case they were annoying you or something - they start up again after a few secs.
Don't know why they are blue/orange for photo and white for everything else tho - maybe that's my theme?
I don't think having the music stop when you check imei is the end of the world, unless you check your imei many times a day!!

Everyone noticed the call list bug?

I have an K850i unbranded with the R1CA037. Some times the call list stops working... no matter what number you call it doesnt appear on the call list, and on that screen that should apear Calling "Victor" or Calling "Janice". It apears only Calling.

To fix it you need to clean all the call list... But soon its get back again...

By calling it DPY flashing you are kind of misrepresenting what it actually is. From what I can tell its a simple BINFS format before flash. OS gets removed but the bootloader stays intact (unlike SEUS which does not perform the BINFS format).

DPY is the acronym SE use to show what region your phone was sold to. All phones have a DPY code on the IMEI label under the battery cover and this code defines the region the phone should come from.

EMMA uses the CDA code to select your appropriate firmware for flashing. This is how SESC can tell if you have flashed the phone with a different region's firmware. They would be able to look at the DPY code and CDA code and see that they don't match up. That is the only use I have seen for the DPY.

I have changed the CDA of my phone with the Davinci, so it says i can use normally SEUS , but if i go to a SESC or use EMMA maybe they can mess up with my phone changing it to the original CDA Again?

I'm starting to think I was better off with my k750i :S

Relax bro, that's what SE always doin on their first fone release, even with the great n legendary ol' k750i...

i bought one about 2.5 years ago (few weeks after it was released) and what happened? it hangs frequently and randomly restarts itself that i have to trade it 3 times and perform FW update twice to make it the better fone until now...

who knows, after few decent updates (just like the k750i), the k850i will become another legendary SE fone, we'll just wait n see

For me K750i was really a masterpiece... People wouldn't belive that i had an 2.0mp phone in hands... The K700i was also an excelent phone too...There where the times SE really could make a big diference betwen its competitors..

For me K750i gave me more good feelings than my K800i wich was a very good phone also.. But not so good in desing...

K850i gives a litle remembers of my K750i becouse of the form factor i think....more wider and shorter and the led photo light wich i use a lot...Better themes etc..

Well I hope they really fix all the problems SOON. I've had my lesson thou, never buy a phone that's not at least one year old

I bought the k750i less then 2 years ago, and it was perfect from the first day on. Not a single bug, maybe froze twice in the whole time, while the k850i froze two times in a single day, and that is just after I updated the FW from 037 to 038! The photos aren't as better from the k750i as the Mpix difference is... it's almost the same Also the LED light was better before.

BTW, is there any way of taking photos from the front (UMTS) camera?

My K850i never froze and I have R1CA037 ADRIATIC unbranded...the only problem is with the quality of the pictures, but if the january firmware will influence the battery I will never upgrade to it, because except the pictures I am happy with the phone.

Well, firstly I am not LOOKING for bugs ... It just happens so I have stumbled across this specific bug by surprise.

Secondly, not many people will be listening to music when they need to check their IMEI for any reason i admit, but a bug is still a bug, and it should be fixed.

Best to keep your giddy assumptions to yourself. It will be really helpful if you can provide information and facts.

For some reason my mates phone is not receiving texts. He's got a K850 on O2 (exactly the same as me, we're both with O2 online) but my phone is working fine.

I think he's got firmware 029 on his, I've got 038.

Any idea what the problem might be? Its obviously not a network problem so it's got to be phone related.
