Or just buy it completely unbranded with no customisations from CPW..
I went in to an O2 store today to ask them how long it would take to get a firmware upgrade. The guy had the cheek to tell me that I could either leave it with them for 7-10 days or that I could use the Online Update Service! I came very close to swearing at him. |

K700i debraded from O2 YET SE UPDATE SITE WONT LET ME FLASH
Folks - i got my K700i from Sony Ericsson Berlin. The phone was unlocked however customized with O2.
I got the T28 cable and a credit and decustomized the phone with the totalmultiserver 1.35/1.37 and got it working wiht the latest firmware and even the hebrew lang pack i required. Yet SE web update gives the same error as before the decustomization ( i have a dss-25).
Any ideas ???

Hi
Anyone heard if O2 are going to make this happen. Personally I have given up hope of them ever sorting it.
Perhaps they would like to refund me for my dss-25 which ios no use to me whatsoever.

Apparently the new version (r2ae) has been made available for all operator's, including o2. Whether they decide to make this part of the update service is another story but just to let you know there is an o2 version of the new firmware out there! |

I would not expect to see this new firmware on the Update Service this year, probably wait until January now. If you take it to a service centre (or send it off) then they will be able to update it to the latest firmware.
NOTE: Some service centre's have reportedly said that the latest firmware is still R2L. Send it to an upper level centre and they will have access to the new firmware. |

Ahh... got a new one sent through O2 Insurance after breaking the screen of my original phone, and it's completely unbranded, running on R2AA. Now I just have to wait for SEUS to support R2AE. |

But i don't want to take a 40 mile round trip to my nearest SE service point for something I should be able to do in the comfort of my own home. Time to start an online petition? |
