I dont know that there would be any problems...the network determines the reception, not the actual phone...with Fido, it would depend what area you're in...I'm in Montreal, have a P800 and don't have any reception problems...
And welcome to Esato

@ raver4444
Fido sells it, but it would be locked...and have you tried the TelePlus stores? Theres on in Place Montreal Trust, they usually sell unlocked phones...
@assmonkey
im not sure why you would want to buy it from Canada, but you can always check out www.cellulord.com, it's operated by a former ESATO member...

Throughout the next 24hrs, I think you will hear enough "Happy New Year" wishes...I'll just say that 2005 will only be as happy as you make it! All the best...

Gooday!
I am in Costa Rica and trying to set up my phone to access email and messages from Canada. I can only get signed on as a guest on yahoo and AOL and Hotmail come back with a message the page is too large?? Who has online WAP or mobile email with a good interface for phones?
In Canada I am with Fido and have the unlimited GPRS which works well with my computer. Same problem I never got my email to work there either! but I did not try very hard. Here in the rainforest I don't want to carry my computer with me all the time.
I noticed most of you are sending messages to other countries, how do you enter international numbers?? mine only seems to want to take area code and number. The country code for Costa Rica is the same as New Brunswick...
Cheers, Pura Vida

@ CostaRicaSteve
Hola, como estamos?
Well, im not really big on checking emails from my mobile, but for hotmail, you might wanna try using https://www.mymail.ie/mymail/home.asp i believe, you can set up all 3 addresses(i think aol too, but yahoo and hotmail for sure) and access your messages like that...
Read more about this here--->>http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=62555
As far as internation dialing goes, you want to enter your numbers in the following format, in the case of a New-Brunswick #, you would enter +1506xxxxxxx...
+ for international
1 is the country code for Canada and the U.S
506 is the area code
the rest is the person's number...
For a CostaRican #, you would do +506 and the number...
Ojala esto te ayude un poco

hey jwy, sorry, i really have little knowledge when it comes to headsets...wish I could help...my only advice is that unless you have any type of knowledge/experience in what goes on in there, pay what it costs for a pro to do it, or if its too expensive, get a new one...Sorry can't be of much help on this one...
