Agree,they dont listen to customers input,As far i have seen many are happy to shift to nokia, As u can find prople in our own forum who have shifted to nokia are fully satisifed with their phone,and they are also amazed at the speed which the bugs and firmware's are released by nokia.I think with so much w910 and k850's being returned it another bad quarter for Sony ericsson.im curious to see Se's 4th quater results.
"One of the exmaples is S500i where after numerous customer complaint
SE admitted the fault,and for replacement, keypad made from the same lame plastic and it's hardly looks like SE will be providing their customers with a better kind of spare parts"

It won't go down, that's for sure.

@JiSm
Well Nokia follow what the Bloggers say on their sites and also take notice of what there users say in the Forums, this results in fast firmware releases and also led to the greatly improved N95 8gb.
With the version V20 firmware for the original N95 they upgraded it with the latest tech from the new N95 8gb Demand paging that has both improved battery life by approx 25% and also resulted in an additional 50% of usable Ram. Only recently with the last Firmware for the N73 added A2DP.
SE on the other hand take no notice have really bad support and don't even have the decency to answer an open letter, maybe they should change to their name to Tommy as they act deaf dumb and blind and take no notice at all.
@G-Izzat
Well not long to wait and we will see the results but i for one would be amazed if they have had a good quarter or even now a good Year. Remember many at the start of the year where saying SE would be number two and sell over 200milion units i am pretty sure they will not be number two and as i said we will see just how many units they do manage to move.

TOMMY ERICSSON!
Haha, nice. I hope they do take notice. More and more people trawl the net for reviews and reccomendations from forums like this. I think SE dont realise this yet. I guess they could learn 1 or two things from Nokia.... but not too much... hehe.

That's why SE phones sells more and more world wide.. Why complain when a company raised from around lesser than 4% to 9%. I'm sure they will reach 10% after this 4.e...
As I said before, if you don't like it. don't buy it.. Why complain when you don't even own those phones.. I don't own any Nokia phones right now.
and yes I have tried N95, don't like the UI at all.. Compare to the SE ui is terrible. Maybe I'm not the right one who tried the phone. that's why I stayed away from it.. why blame it???? that just ¤%&/(%
Seems it's always between SE and Nokia in battle.. and this battle won't end..
Long living this battle between them..

Did you actually read any of the posts above? Can't you see that the people moaning are the SE fans?!
This isn't about Nokia vs SE, it's about what SE is doing to damage their reputation. If they're increasing market share with their low-mid range handsets that's great, but surely they don't want to give up the mid-high end market? That's what SE started with!!
Imagine the market share they'd have if they got it all right? They've clearly concentrated too much on gaining share in one part of the market and lost their way as a result. 22+ handsets in 2007, but the top-end that we all love on here? Disappointing, at best.
But, you know what, I believe they CAN fix things!

I completely agree. They have some wicked ideas and just need that sony lot to back off a bit and let the Ericsson side out a bit more. They have been the best and will be the best again. Crossing fingers they can make ammends on their existing equipment tho. Especially this mobile market. Noone has copius amounts of money to invest into a new phones (we are talkin high end here or course) and Id say at leat 80% of users here (On the new SE phones) are stuck on contracts with near a year to go at least! Those that do have the money.... probably wont be buyin SE at this stage now. Some may say that there are loyal SE users that will... but they already have the new phones dont they.

Just look at all the pluses ("+") that are in the N-series columns and not in K850. Then you look at the price row and you see why SE has blew it.

Too many here are SE Fanboys and cannot see where the company has effed up.
 but so do Nokia Fanboys mocking around treating as if everything Nokia produced flawless
IMO, both SE and Nokia are far from perfect. There are rooms to improve for both.
However Nokia in its own imperfection produces phones with more features which SE is lacking currently. That is a fact.

I think it is ok to have some bugs in new features. |

Exemple of SE disaster of 2007:
K850:
-Delayed for 4 months
-Much higher price compared to all K series(140$ difference between K800 when launched and the K850)
-NOTHING more technologicly speaking than cheaper phones in the market like the N95
-Terrible sensitive touch buttons like on the U600(they even didn't read the tons of complaints of U600 users since the month of june) |

@SilveR
This was what was said after the release of UIQ3 wait till next Year plus all of the claims that SE were going to be No2 by Year end.
Do you really think what we are all saying is untrue? this thread is now 12 pages long and the only post's claiming we are all wrong come from SE fans that can not face the reality and harp on about other manufacturers problems as if some how that magically makes SE problems OK, just how does that work then?
What do you really think will change next year then? it is as much how SE relates to it's customers as the products and how it releases them and neither of these have changed or got better at all.
It would of been a great sign had the new CEO responded in anyway to the open letter he received a month ago a simple acknowledgement would of been the minimum level of politeness we could expect. Silence speaks volumes of how SE sees us we are just here to give them money and sooner rather than later they are going to realise to late where most of their users have gone.
One or two devices are not going to make all the difference either as it as much about the lack of good customer care and support and delivering what they promise with their products. Only time will tell but it appears that myself and many others feel the rise has started to decline and unless they react fast they could end up in real trouble.

maybe all these problems of SE is due to internal squabbling.
Well, SONY owns 50% of the venture but gave everything that defines SE like cybershot and walkman. Ericsson just sits on its a** and get 50% of the profit. On top of that SE phones are cannabalising the sales of SONY camera and music player. |
