Anyone know how to sync this with your Outlook calendar? I am having trouble export my whole caldendar to the MPE calendar.

thanks for the quick reply Ziller.  Question though, If I have alot of archived sms messages in the PC. How do I get them to be carried over from 1.2 to 1.3.3?

Unless I'm mistaken you cannot sync with Outlook yet, maybe its in the pipeline in future versions. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
Currently what I do is a long-winded way but still... Firstly I sync my phone with Outlook using the SE software. (I use the Advance Sync option and replace everything on phone with whats on my pc, once thats done I connect with MPE and DOWNLOAD (note; not SYNC) the calendar from my phone and there it is - Outlook stuff is now on MPE. When you then do changes on the calender in MPE and you sync with the phone you can just do a normal sync with the SE software to get that changes on Outlook.
Its the only way I know of to do so apart from if anyone else has a better suggestion.
If zillertaler decides to incorporate the feature to sync directly with Outlook sometime in the future I can stop using the SE software alltogether apart from firmware updates. Keep in mind it might be difficult to do so as the phone can only handle a certain amount of calendar entries...

In myphoneexplorer when u send a sms, there is tab for "Flash Message",
which means ur message is only once displayed on reciever's screen and will just fade away and there is no message neither in ur sent messages nor in the reciver's inbox.
I did it with my k750 and sent a sms 4 myself and it worked
NOW the question is how can i do the same without myphoneexplorer ,directly from my phone?
4 example enter some codes or something like this? |

I am having a problem connecting to my phone.
I have a z520a. I'm running 98se, and trying to connect via my pc using a usb-infrared adapter (IrDA 1.1, USB 1.1).
The adapter is compatible with FIR 4Mbps, MIR, SIR and ADK 56 Kbps. The adapter is set up as COM4.
When I move my phone to the adapter, Windows recognizes the phone. When I run MPE, I get a message that tells me it can't identify my phone.
I've run the ConnectionWizard and also tried changing the connection settings manually (COM4, 115000 baud, OBEX Packet Size=4096).
Any ideas? Do I also need to install modem drivers for my phone, since I'm using infrared?
By the way, I'm using version 1.3.1

No, you can't. Most pc-progams let you do it, but not the phone.
(While looking for a possible menu item to do that, I also found out that the 'chat' feature has disappeared. That used wat looked like a succession of flash-messages.) |

I was going to report a bug - all the font size on the program appear relatively small compared to the ones on my entire computer - but may be it's just me.
Yes, I tried correcting my Display properties but that does not help. |

here's a funny thing 'bout my phone explorer, donno whether it's been posted b4 but feeling sleepy, and found it just now, nd can't help but posting it  ...
I can create folder inside a folder using the mpe...but i can't copy contents to that folder inside nother folder...
like a "sample" folder inside "songs" folder which is inside "sounds" folder.
to that folder though .......
Just when i try 2 copy files to the nested folder mpe says press yes to accept from the phone or something like that and from the phone I don't c ne question though |

i am using it for about 2 weeks and just upgraded from 1.2 to 1.3.3
it's handy that feature regarding the preview of all kind of files
for some reasons, i was unable to solve 2 small (not quite) problems:
1. sometimes, downloading files from the phone is not working as it should suppose to work, meaning that the files downloading progress is shown, but at the end of the process, i can not find those files in the folder i've set to be downloaded to (nor in the cache folder of the mpe).
and, being in some rush for a couple of times, i've deleted the files from the phone without checking first if they are properly downloaded. imagine, i was a little bit angry when i discovered that i've lost some important files.
win xp + sp2
2. i can not up/download files with a speed higher than 7KB/s
using a Vishay irda dongle set at 4MB/s and SE K300 modems driver set at 115200 (don't know what they really are - kbps???) as "max port speed" and in advanced section for the same modem properties it's showing something like 57600 for "data connection preferences -> port speed" (FIFO buffers enabled)
all values are the maximum from what i've found
the OBEX packet size is 4,096
1st question: why are 2 values for the same "port speed" and which one is used?
2nd question: is there any way to increase the upload/download speed? maybe without the SE modem driver installed?
btw: i am using fma to create internet bookmarks. please try to include this option in mpe as soon as possible, because it would help a lot.

I can't seem to find the option of enabling PC screen pop-up whenever a new SMS comes in (a feature found in Float's Mobile Agent.) I'm using v1.3.3. Do we really have to refresh the inbox manually to check whether there are new SMS? Thanks in advance. |
