Everyones very quiet these days.Wangs are you missing Jojo? GUCCI, it almost sounds like you want to go back to school.Boredom.I never get bored.Always something to do.
Hsdpa 3.6 Sorry bud I know nothing about internet browsing using laptops and data cards but I would guess you would need an upgrade in software on your computer.Thats just my guess. You in Joburg now so scroll into a Vodacare and sit down with someone and have a chat about it.

AFAIK (I know alot, but surely not everything, 90% surety on this though)
Either your device su8pports hsdpa 3.6 or it does not.
For the networks to offer the service, they need only do a software upgrade from the 3g towers, but the customer needs a device which supports these speeds (most new datacards should support up to 7.2, mobile phone standard is fast turning to 3.6)
So the answer to your question, is no, a software upgrade will not enable you to reach the 3.6mbs service, you need an hsdpa device that supports the 3.6mbs service.
I hope this helps

@ Hobbster,
Ya I do kinda miss the late night bikes n' stuff ramblings.
He was always eager to find out about an area that I'm fairly well-versed in, and the banter certainly kept this forum ticking over during the wee hours.
It could be argued that perhaps I should've perhaps started a separate thread in the non-mobile discussion, but I tried to keep it as relevant to cellphones as I could (and therefore posted them in here too), with all the pics being taken with cellphones, and only cellphones, for example.
There's plenty other 2-wheeled forums out there, but I can't commit to another site due to time constraints, so the bike cellphone pics n' retort was/is a way to bridge 2 passions of mine, well to an extent anyway.

What happened to JoJo? Noticed this week fewer smilies and incomprehensible posts.

Work, Hobbs, it's work that's keeping us quiet, my bru. TGIF though More and more i'm beginning to realize that without weekends i'd go crazy! (the term "crazy" is used very loosely, since it feels as if i've already lost 80% of my marbles).

Just finished 30-odd consecutive parent interviews, and I'm knackered. Fortunately it all went well. A pity that some of the parents that one has to see most urgently don't always turn up...

Just came back from Monte, watchd MEET THE SPARTANS (rip off of the movie: 300),its funny but rather wait for it to come to dvd its nothing hilarious, if you have watched EPIC MOVIE and DATE MOVIE then expect something similar, must say Carmen Electra still looking fine as hell, how old is she? 35 or something?

Hey Gucci.I played on a N81 today and its one fine phone dude but with one big downside. Its build quality. It feels cheap.Hated the navigation pad.It would drive me nuts the way it responds to your press and the squeak, that was really annoying.Nothing wrong with the design. Its just the build quality.Wouldnt mind putting the N81's beating heart in my P990i's casing which on the other hand is a solidly built phone.Feels like a million bucks whereas the N81 feels like a couple hundred grand.

@ Hobbs
Thats good yep it does feel plasticky, dpad takes some getting used, was quite frustrating at 1st but im loving it now. I actualy like the build quality, its realy smooth and sleek (atleast when compared to N80 and N95).
Did you try the navi-wheel?

@da wanqsta: Thanks for the link to your Afrikaans post explaining JoJo's departure. I don't have much background into the situation to give an honest opinion. The only place I saw him post was here and in the General forums.
@GUCCI: You should've asked for a refund...these spoof movies are never quite good with the exception perhaps of the Scary Movie franchise.
I watched Atonement this evening, quite brilliant I'd say. If you're down with anything from the 1930s, except for the Depression, this is quite a good movie. |
