Agree as above!! what a very disappointing year. but some people here still pretend to be happy and praise whatever low-end SE throws at them! LOL! |

Yeah.
I mean, their middle range is great!
And no reason to not to be happy of that.
But, I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that they failed to cope with highend business market! All others do!
Where is UiQ? Nowhere. Their stupidity is overwhelming. They had all the potential to be on front as pioneers!!!
And now they're behind.
So, probably, even I will stop buying SE phones. I can't believe it.

^ Unfortunately their mid range phones are priced like high end phones. |

Well I think that not every full-touch-phone is highend.
Samsung Omnia, HTC Touch Diamond and LG KC910.....i think every big company has just one real highend phone and SE has the X1. I also want a P-x but i prefer to wait. If paris was just a p1i with slider i wouldn't buy it. The P-successor needs a better CPU so lets wait..... |

Well, all those ^ propose latest technology regarding HSDPA, hardware etc. SE still has old processors, from P990 times.
In fact, Nokia has at least 5 strong devices, as well as HTC which has at least two. And they're all AVAILABLE!
SE promises to bring X1 on October. 9 months after announcement. Bad sign.
Man, be real. How long you think they'll prepare this flagship? Another 6 months?? C'mon, it's just over. They just don't. Maybe next year, but forget about Pseries. It's waisted, the best what they had. |

it really seems that SE is lazy at the X1-Project but i think that a X5 or however won't take as long as the X1 does. I think/hope that these evidences of X1 will save time for the next phone.
The P-series is imo not dead but i don't think that the next P will be announced this year...... |

One, maybe naive question.
What is so wrong about the X1? Iīve read some reviews/previews now and it looks a great phone that might even replace my IPhone. I think itīs a little bit unfair to say sony/// abandoned the smartphone realm when they are just about to release one of the greatest phones in that area!
And maybe they now fired away their mid/lowrange devices to now fully fledgedly work on the " we please even esato-members James Bond 2015" Phone!
I wont give up hope, tried some other manufacturers fones in the meantime and apart from the IPhone thereīs nothing that I want to spend my time and money on!
So Sony///, if you manage to survive Iīll stay with you!

^ Wow, my sentiments exactly. 'I don't like the phone because only BengalBoy has reviewed it and I don't like his review methods and I don't like that he hasn't reviewed everything else that isn't relevant to the specific handset but rather to its general OS which I could just find elsewhere anyway' - WTFFFFFF????
Its a great device. Its NOT a smartphone. Its a PDA. Probably just too hardcore and too far on the PDA side for some of you. But in that case, G900 is the better choice for you anyway. |

We don't know the state of X1 right now.
Indeed, that one may be awesome.
THE wrong thing is it's still not available.
And the second - many users, including me, waits for UiQ device. WM looks like sh..it inside, it's like awful Windows 95.
In compare to UiQ which looks good everywhere.
But I'm bitter, now I quit this sentimental stuff. They fcuked it big time (UiQ).
Maybe X1 will be the only choice.
As for Pseries, I bet it's dead.
And yes, X1 looks amazing specswise (besides camera lol!) and actually I like it's PDA-power. However, the unique Pseries quality was unity of PDA and comfortable phone part. X1 is not that anymore.
But I also look at this device.

doministry, haven't you thought about getting G900? It looks like the only choice left if you want to stay with UIQ...

Thanks mate, but it has no qwerty.
And basically it does not introduce anything new after P1.
(and P1 is superb device indeed.) |

In that case, if QWERTY is essential, it is a dead end, I guess.
Basically it is the same, but there are some small nice updates and upgrades that make use of it more enjoyable. |

i will still buy it! QWERTY and D-pad are essential for me. The beibei interface is fast enough in the demos so i'm not too concerned about the CPU. |

What are you going to buy if there is nothing to buy, nothing to choose from?
And I fully agree with you, if there was such a product, I would buy not thinking twice.
