yes i realize the irony that the above post is off topic ... but the initial post i made today was not and should not be discounted.
Don't you know by now, Mizzle et all are the sole reason why SE is still in business. They will buy anything SE throws at them and praise it to no end regardless of any facts.
All you have to do is say "SE rocks" or "SE for President of earth" and Mizzle might come around and be friends with you.

I'm not going to drag myself down to your level, and answer that post. It's obvious to anybody that complaining about SE's strategy and comparing it to that of others, has nothing to do with rumours. Even my 4-year old cousin would know that.

I never said your questions don't belong here - often they do, and I also find myself answering them once in a while. What doesn't belong here, however, is the - from some people - endless yappering about why SE doesn't do this and that, and a series of "well-thought" analyses of their problem. Having said that, I don't consider myself having a perfect analysis of the problem, nor do I think I'd be able to do one.
I really don't mind the yappering, just do it in the right places. You don't visit a rumours thread to hear about crying fanboys, nor would you want to visit a nokia forum to read about SE phones.

can you say there will by a high end phone come this year or in Q1 2009?
because i like SE and i want to wait for it a little while but only if i know there will come somthing.

saying that my deductions on the state of a company based upon their economic data thus far and projections of future revenue streams, which is in turn based solely on the products the produce, announce, and research, does not belong IN the rumors thread and that a toddler can observe this, is in fact a response and furthermore demeaning. which is the level you so self righteously elevated yourself from in the preceding SENTENCE.
i must also add, that which i havent seen here, i may be mistaken, and it may also appear on a certain set of blogs, but the X1 is destined to make it to market by december, which is good news, if anyone read the article last week saying that it would arrive Q1.

Seriously, guys, these arguments are getting really sad. It's like watching a bunch of kids sometimes.
I think we should start another thread for each topic. We could have a Discussion thread, and an All Out, Strip To The Waste, Call Each Other Names, My Dads Bigger Than Your Dad Argument thread.
It's getting silly watching people throw toys out of the pram, and getting aggressive over Mobile Phones. Lets just try and keep some perspective here.

Ahm, would you all mind too much if I talked about mobile phones instead?
I dont see why everyone acts as if they have no smartphones at all- X1 is a total monster! Cmon, its even on par with the Touch Pro, it uses the best smartphone OS available at this point in time- So what's not to like? Do you want a smartphone or not- there it is, and its awesome. Its not made to your exact requirements because you're 'not used to the OS' or afraid of it because its the real deal. @Doministy: Im hoping that the 'slow X1' youve heard of was just some proto made before the RAM was upgraded to 256MB. But from the video demonstrations Ive seen of it, I would say it is fast. |

today i saw the pro and the omnia and i was thinking of whan of these but i will waite for de X1. X1 looks better and properlie the keyboard will be better etc. |

Sadly, from what i read, the keyboard is what may let the X1 down most of all. Cant wait to actually try one to see if it suits me, personally.
So, it looks like this thread is about finished for this year, and we should start packing our stuff to go to the 2009 thread.
I think a lot of folk need to go get a coffee, and/or have a cigarette (outside).
It would have been nice to have a final flurry from UIQ, but the rumour mill is either playing its cards close to its chest, or there are no rumours to bring to the table.
I shall wander over to the X1 thread, which is my most anticipated phone, and say tata to those left behind here, feeling let down and dissapointed.
Good luck for 2009, people, and dont forget, theyre only phones!

Hey, right, X1 is great. But it's NOT here yet. It has a huge delay and nobody really knows when it will be on market.
It's also WM and I'm not sure it's the best OS. It can't handle bigger camera's mpx, so it's not ultimately the best.
Anyway, I was asking about those Hikaro rumours and the Pseries, the device on UiQ etc. What's up wit P?
Or maybe Pseries is dead and Xperia takes it's place? Would be a horrible news, since I see those slide-out qwerty devices abolutely worse in ergonomics. |

No, I don't see any point. I see a lot of crying, no points, and especially not yours. It really can't be that difficult to understand - if something doesn't suit you, use something else, which - in your case - shouldn't be so hard, seeing you've got lots of names of manufacturers who are doing a better job. Just leave, you won't see me getting all emotional about it.
