Raider I have a big problem with the latest 6.4 cam driver.I press the camera button and the AF is focusing in and focusing out all the time and I can't take a picture not one. This problem started today. Yesterday was perfect.Awesome colors BTW.please check the 6.4 problem.I put the 6.4 twice with XS++ but nothing still the same problem. with 6.3 it works PERFECT.
BTW what were the ideas that didn't work and You gave up on? |

Question: How do I install your driver?
1. print code
2. bend the paper to size of battery
3. open battery cover
4. insert paper under battery
5. close cover
6. restart the phone
enjoy

1. I don't know, as far as I will be K800 owner something new can appear but to be honest I don't believe in any new major change
2. right now C902 is very promising. is K800 camera better than K850? I don't know, you have to ask K850 users about their opinions for sure K800 with additional features in camera (like special modes for low-light) is still hot stuff

I like this change too. my hands are shaky and I wasn't able to catch not blurred shots. it was real problem but with 1/40s it's gone

daylight: auto scene + daylight WB
early evening: auto scene + daylight/cloudy WB
low-light: auto scene + SEM + proper WB (depends on ambient light)
night: auto scene + EM + auto or incandescent WB (depends on ambient light)
I'm fan of auto settings haha other scenes than auto doesn't exist for me (almost)

1. this red cast on some shots with flash is awful, maybe it's random? or... longer exposure time = more red cast?
2. yep, this change is dedicated for shots with flash. they were always near bottom line of file size rule (not much above ~600kb) and now, as you can see, files are bigger. however I'm still afraid of crash problem
I had some ideas how to fix some issues like no AE lock with focus infinity (landscape scenes) or black display after long exposure time but I didn't make it. I also had 2 new ideas, one for better night shots and one to make flash ISO value dependent on the distance from the camera to object (short distance = lower ISO). this code was working fine while sometimes it didn't worked at all (pity). I don't need half working features

Hi raider, thank you for sharing your latest driver!
However, i have noticed something different compared to the previous version.
Whenever i start the camera w/ the focus set to infinite my flash pics are very dark, but after i change the focus to auto flash pics are now back to normal.
This happens only when starting the cam and taking the first pic using "focus on infinite" but after changing to auto everything is back to normal even if i return the focus to infinite.
All scenes using flash seem to have this issue.
I'm using a k810 R8BA024.

ok, I'm waiting for other uses to confirm this issue (post info about firmware version too). I cannot repeat it, nothing weird in AF on my phone
chickm
thanks for report, confirmed. I forgot to initialize ISO value for infinity focus. you can also repeat this issue in this way:
1. select macro focus
2. take shot
3. select infinity focus
4. take shot (ISO100 instead of ISO400)
fixed version will be as soon as possible but I have to wait for users with autofocus issue

Sorry for being off-topic here, but camera modding for UIQ3 phones (P990i and P1i at least) is now possible. http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=175418&start=30
Is there any hope to see as many camera drivers for P1i as we had for K750i and K800i? |
