I respect Arez, Etaab and Numb a fair bit - I respect their common sense more than anything, plus the quality of experience and troubleshooting they bring to esato. And Masseur for his high-quality new gadget pics and reviews. I find I rarely disagree with those guys when it comes to technical facts or judgements. They are usually right on the money.
But to be fair there are many peeps here to whom I'd happily give more than the time of day - blackspot, whizz, gelfen, chili, marlonski, carkitter, 786bkr, mrao, etc etc; there are many who are known for the ability to give rational and useful advice (I've missed many off the list - you know who you are).
Even the nokia lovers (nokialovermaniax what ever his name is, mib1800 and mario) make it interesting but I don't miss 'em when they're gone. Their Nokia mumbo jumbo is too much sometimes haha ! Many the time has been where Numb has beaten everyone else to the punch to put those nokia guys back in their place! Saved me a lot of work he has.

seriously though, what i meant was that this thread is no longer really about who is respected, but only who is well liked. hence, my complete lack of surprise at nobody mentioning my name since i've never been good at popularity contests and i don't come here for that purpose. i credit (almost) everyone on this forum with a certain base level of respect, but there are very few who i rate higher than the others and they should know who they are. i also have a reasonable idea of who respects me and i don't need them to post here to validate it, even though it would be nice to have it said.
i should be posting on my house in the next few days.
