supposedly E3 2006, so about 12 months. i think i'll wait a while after that to make my decision though.

thats pretty far away... noone will want it because the 360 will be out, and people will just have bought the 360, they wont want a ps3... to most people its nearly the same system, but idk... i think they need to release it earlier, or later...

Bluetooth controllers must mean what i've been longing for,sick of tripping over me headset while online (running in and out making cups of tea while playing :-D ) Please give me a Bluetooth headset!!!
Or even use a SE BT Headset! ;-) Now that has gotta be ideal :-)

i still don't understand what Blu-ray is, and what the difference between blu-ray and dvd-cd rom is ?

blu ray was a format i read about a few years back,
basically they can focus the laser of a blue laser a lot lot thinner than a red laser, so over all you will either get smaller discs or more data on a disc on the normal size.

Everyone seems to hate the new controllers, but what if they turn out to be really comfortable, HUH, then what?
I've heard, maybe here, that you can use a PSP as a controller through wifi. Another thing that would be nice is release a new game pad for SE phones with all the PS buttons so we could use a SE phone as a controller two. And since it can support up to 7 controllers you could have a gaming party where people would just have to bring their phone |

I dont think the console is huge, it just looks big in the picture because the two guys are stood back away from the console, making it appear large next to them.
I read that it was about the same size as the original PS2 console, so really, its not as big as the current Xbox.

i've seen another shot with someone holding it (can't find it now), and it looked about the size or marginally smaller than an xbox - allowing for the differing aspect ratio.
maybe it was just a little guy holding it?

PS3 is way bigger than PS2.. try holding ur PS2 like the way that smiling japanese guy did... my palm reached more then half of the bottom of the PS2.. and the guy with the PS3 didnt or reach exactly half.. so therefore the width of the PS3 is longer... or that guy has small hands... i dunno..

Well, that guy looks asian / Japanese / far eastern.
People from that part of the world are, on average, much smaller than people in Europe. So, to him, the console might look large, but to me it looks about the same size as the original PS2.
I dont think it looks huge at all, and considering Sony say it is more powerful than any current home PC gaming wise, it aint too big.
But it does not come with a hard drive built in.. !
