1- the light on, when talking
2- can't delete a person in a group
3- can't edit the number for example in others an put it into mobile
4- when a number it's included in Others number, when this number is calling, hhis/her name does not appear.

well, mmm i bought DSS-25 on saturday morning only for the firmware update and now i would like to crash it on the wall...

anyother person have the same problem? xDD

Yep, i bought a DSS-25 for this purpose and the damn thing doesnt work at all!

Ive installed and downloaded all the latest drivers etc etc but it's so intermittent, it decided to work just ONCE and let me access the file structure of the k700i, and like now, it just sits in the dock and does nothing.

No support or anything with this, it's just crappy.

What does yours do?

I bought a DSS-25 for this too. Works perfectly though. But I had to remove my bluetooth dongle before installing it to get it to work.. I then inserted the bluetooth thing after the DSS-25 and now both works perfectly...

The USB driver emulates an ordinary communication port. You probably have a numbering conflict (maybe you removed the cord and reinserted something else in the USB port or you might have a real communication port with same ID... whew, there are many many possible situations...).

Anyway, it ain't crappy! You are just unlucky enough not getting it to work. Uninstall all software that is SE branded to get rid of the software that "talks" to the port, not just the USB driver itself, and reinstall using another USB port this time... and, most important, pray for luck and it might just work! If not: call Sony Ericsson support!

Good luck buddy!

since that url is identical to the P900 update url (except for phone name), and because it was working last week, I guess we'll all just have to wait until make it available again

Hmm,
Can this help..I don't have the DSS station But just thought to see what is the upgrade page all about..and it opens just fine...I chose country India...But I clicked Malayasia for the same and it gives page not found error..!..
Maybe the traffic is related to site users from different regions...!
As there are not many users of the updating service here in India..Maybe you could give a shot using different country..
BTW phones in India are unbranded..! So no VodaPhone etc flashing req..Lucks

Yesterday I left my K700i to a servicepoint for upgrade. They promised I'll get the newest SW. My batterytime was lousy, and the number 2 key was not perfect. Actually I never noticed anything about the number 2 key, before I read about it. It worked perfect as long as I pressed it down in the middle, but when I pressed it down from the sides, it allways got slightly stuck. I hope the phone becomes better after the short visit in the service.
