What we really wanna know is a definative answer on weather its locked or unlocked?
It's not SIM locked, but it is definitely network locked, so don't expect to be buying this over eBay.
In fact, you need to 'register' or 'activate' each new SIM through iTunes to get it working - and apparently the registering of new numbers is currently disabled, leaving a lot of new buyers with some (albeit slick) paperweights for the weekend.

I tend to agree with you mate but the fact remains, even if the iPhone is not the latest and greatest technology, it will change the game. They sold over 500k of them in just 3 days. Nokia, SE combined don't do that. Like it or hate it, we are looking at something very interesting here.

Another criticism:
- NO file transfer of photos (not sure about other files) over bluetooth. Not to any other phone or even iPhones.
Bummer.

@Superluminova,
If it is not an offical Apple part then I would say, no. Apple is very protective about it hardware.

@Superluminova,
I hear you but an official housing is from Apple, unless it is certified with an Apple logo signifying that Apple approves its use with Apple products. This housing could theoretically have materials that interfere with the radios in the phone. I have seen this before. You put on a different shell, and blam reception is decreased. Remove the OEM and put on the original and things return to normal. Personally I would not play around with my $499 to $599 iPhone until someone is willing to be responsible if something goes wrong.

The iPhone is pretty slim. However, I wouldn't mind a slightly thicker version if it meant being able to capture video.
I'm wondering if a higher specced Euro version will appear later on. I'm hoping it does actually.
