it is a safecom one. it operates properly on my laptop but not my desktop |

Yeah. I can not wait to hear the answer to this as well. Please explain this.
Anyway, do you know if your BT adapter supports the OBEX (Object Exchange) profile? Some devices, might not. They could be using the older BT spec, but I am pretty sure OBEX is supported in 1.0.

Im having the same problem using a billionton USB bluetooth adapter; and Im near to the insanity!!!!!!!!!
Does anybody knows how to solve this problem? |

I have had this adapter and to be honest, I got rid of it. If you can find a D-Link adapter by all means do so. In this case a higher quality brand is your best bet.

See if you can get the latest drivers. This is about all you can do.

Its quite possible dat its a bt software bug installing sync softward and then sending might help

@69er> Best software for? WIDCOMM drivers are used by most adapter makers.. But whatever 'Your' BT dongle came with,it will work with.
I think what they are trying to tell here is: Try locating the BT S/W connexions from Program Files,or TaskBar or(in my case) even the BT Neighbourhood folder on Desktop.
Rename (instead of rebooting) your phone-> goto the Wizard-> Select- I know the device whose services I wantto use (..something like dat)-> and select every damn thing like Obex Trnsfr, Serial Port etc..
