no problem from my side mate. may be just usual wear n tear. may be your place's weather conditions are affecting it.

Its definitely wear and tear, its from putting the phone in and out of your pocket, Its now starting to happen on my W800i. SE do it once again by using another piece of plastic lightly coated in a silvery metallic substance that wears off easily, God that was a long sentence!

That brown crap on the button is not caused by wear and tear....wear will rub the chrome off to reveal the creamy coloured plastic underneath.
Anyone out there got a spare case to experiment with?
My guess is its solvent or mineral oil based corrosion. Simply as i had same thing happen to mine after takign a picture of some MTB brakes I had bled and still had fluid on my hands....and yes mine looked exactly the same as that. (easy to replace a button though)

i think those brown thing is coating so that the chrome will stick to the plastic.
Mine did the same, the phone is 6 months old |

As mentioned in this thread, the button is made of plastic and the paint is falling off. It has happened to me as well - not only on the camera button, but also on the joystick and it looks silly! It also makes the joystick pretty sharp ... now I have small scratches on my thumb
This problem - together with the annoying background noice while talking on the phone - eventually made me sell my K750! |

I have the same problem!.
I bought my K750i 2-3 months ago, and had aprox. 1000 photos.
It's a pity that SE didn't use a better material for that button . |

A layer of that shiny stuff has come off my cam button too. But underneath it is another metalic coating, but its lighter in colour.
The layer that came out had a slight brown tinge to it. Now the new layer is more silver/metalic in colour...
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. I Nokia N95 8GB and N82 |
