Best pictures is allways taken with the highest setting 2mp fine quality.
Whitebalance is set according to the conditions
If its a sunny day select daylight
If its a cloudy day select cloudy
If you cant make up your mind weather its day or not, select auto
incandescent and fluorescent is mainly for indoor pictures depending on type of lightsource. Does the light come from lamps with lightbulbs, select incandescent, does the light come from a flourescent lightsource (dont know any english words for those sources) use the flourescent setting.
Again, if you cant make up your mind, select auto.
Before desiding which setting take a look in the viewfinder, does the viewfinder display colors as they actually look, else try one of the other settings untill you get the one that matches. In time you get more used to it and instinctly select the right setting.
Again, if it takes to long or gets to complicated, select auto.
Dont use nightmode at all unless its completely impossible to take a picture without. Nightmode increase the shuttertime to let more light in, this causes more noise and blur if you cannot keep the camera completely still. If the object is close enough its better to have nightmode turned off and the "flashled" turned on.
general advice, dont bother to much with great big landscape photos and expect miracles, you need a really highq real digicam to make such shots really good. Concentrate and focus more on portraitshots and shots of closer objects, within say 5 mtrs. or so, and you will get amazing results with K750.

i really have been taking pics with the night mode on even when there is enough light.....will not do that here after...
one more question.. will the light mode turned off effect the pic clarity...i.e reduced clarity..?

nae, I would say contrary. There need to be some light for the camera to be able to take a picture, but it could be from a billboard or something, nightmode off would often give better clarity, better colors, and better contrast where black is black, instead of black being alot of blue dots like nightmode often introduces.
Say you were to take a picture of a person standing 2 mtrs infront of you, youre outside and its very dark. Instinctively you turn on nightmode, and the result is noise and blue dots in the black areas and generally blur and poor colorsaturation/clarity of the person. Instead turn off nightmode and turn on the "flashleds" and you will get a very nice picture where the person is clear, sharp with good colors, having a nice black sorrounding/background with no blue dots |

ok...now i understand what you exactly are trying to speak...i too have noticed the difference...willl implement that from here on...its a great tip... ... yes the night mode certainly do not produce exact colors.....

heres a quick example I just made for you - not expecially good but still gives an idea. Turned of the lights in my room, which was then almost completely dark, and planted an object on the couch.
picture1 - nightmode on, exposurecompensation turn all the way up just to get an image
picture2 - nightmode off, flashled on, normal exposurecompensation
picture2 is much better, and a picture where the background hadnt been so light and the object bigger would have been even better.

by exposure you mean the brightness right?...i.e at 2
picture2 - nightmode off, flashled on, normal exposurecompensation
and this the brightness set to 1 right...?

yes, exposurecompensation (also called brightness) set to +2 in the first picture.
In the second it was not set, meaning it was 0 as standard

that second picture looks good. Like I say, it'll be for close up so it should be fine for that |
