Hi
In my line of work I need a good quality camera that takes pictures pretty much as soon as I press the shutter button and silently. so...
1) What's the lag like between pressing the shutter button and the actual picture being taken?
2) how noisy is the auto-focus? as in, would someone be able to hear it from about 2 feet away?
Thanks

The picture is taken usually a second after you press the button, and then a further 2 seconds or so to save the image.
I recommend you dont move the camera until the word SAVING appears.
The autofocus itself makes very little noise. However, when the focus has a lock, the camera beeps to tell you. Depending on your firmware region however, all camera sounds can be muted by selecting silent mode.

To get an immediate shot, you'd best pre-focus. The autofocus is almost silent, but depending on where your phone is from, you may or may not be able to disable the electronic shutter sound the camera plays when taking a pic. |

Can't the shutter sound/beep be turned off without selecting silent?

Its a phone, not a spycam, therefore no, there are no option as such to turn of shutter sound as you are not supposed to do so for many many reasons debatted a million times before, but on some regions firmwares, the shutter sound is muted when selecting the silent profile. Noone can guarantee up front if the phone you get will be able to do so or not, you will have to wait and see. And there would not be any guarantees that a future firmware would not remove that option also.
If your line of work (whatever that would be?) requires a "spycam" that takes pictures instantly and silently, then better get a real cam, not a phone.

Then I would say the camera in K750 is not good enough for the job.
You would need a higher quality cam with optical zoom, and one that better adapts to poor lightingconditions and very quick respons.
As a substitute when you dont have the highq cam with you and a situation suddenly appears, it could suffice, but overall not replace the highq cam.

...because some firmwares do produce the noise no matter what (like mine) and some don't.
but we really don't need to keep repeating this ad-nauseum as we did for the K700 which was exactly the same where some firmware version did... and some didn't

the new firmware makes the video quality go really down...i have seen a lot of posts stating that... i think it wil take another one or two updates of firmware to sort out all the problems with the phone and be stable...
someone..please answer my earlier question... ...?
