Well the 6110 was no good... Guess I'll keep looking for someone with a 7110. Has anyone else out there got it to work??!

I tried a whole load of phones but none of them would do it. I knew 2 people who had a 7110 and the both broke them in the same week.
Anybody got a 7110 they want to lend?! |

Typical! I've tried a few phones now with no luck... Sounds like we've got to find that 7110. They used to be fairly common too so someone must still have one!

Ziggy1024, if you phone up to get yours stopped could you ask them how long it will take. Usually their official time for this sort of stuff is 24 hours but I would be interested to hear what they say.

I've just sent them an e-mail cos I can't really call them while I'm at work & I resent paying 50p a minute anyway! I'll let you know if I get anywhere...

Excellent! Glad it works! I haven't actually got anything back from the e-mail, but I was only expecting a machine-generated reply anyway... I'll give them a call tomorrow afternoon
Cheers guys

Right, well I called them about half an hour ago... Still getting the messages but... I got GPRS enabled! Thought it was worth asking & I now have FREE GPRS! Have you done that Phil?

you got free GPRS? how did you manage that??
if you are still getting the messages then they have probably dont the same stupid thing as they did at first on mine - only disabled the low balance alert. you need to get them to put on "no alerts" and then it should stop immediately. I am intruiged that you have free gprs, how do you know - i dont even know how to set it up! |

I too have a t68i with a Genie/O2 sim and previously had the same problem as you. There are two solutions 1. Put silent mode on or 2. Call O2 (its actually O2 Online if your an old Genie customer) and get them to switch off the balance notification messages. I choose the latter, seeing as my balance is set as a hotkey there really was no need to see it after every text etc-especially when my texts and stuff are free so my balance aint gonna change anyway.
