I was thinkin that too. Mine came from an O2 store and seems a little slow at times and the screen goes funny colours so i think i might. It must be worth it for a new fone for free? Just put all your files on your memory stick (ive got a 512mb) and then pop into your new one when it arrives id say! |

i had an order pending for despatch today and got an email to say that all the k750is have been withdrawn therefore my order wont be shipped until they get the 'non-faulty' batch. |

I got mine 2 weeks ago and have not had a single crash apart from once the events stopped working so I restarted but that's it!
I got mine from an O2 shop. Now I'm just wondering should I return it anyway on the 20th and change it for a new one just in case? Seems pointless but then again, it might give me problems later on if I keep it! Anyone else in the same situation?

well mine hasn't crashed...yet. i've just started the animated wallpaper which i had turned off before. i left it on overnight, with the clock enabled & woke this morning to a phone that had not crashed.
but like you i am thinking well if i can get a new, updated model in the next couple of weeks then why not? i spoke with o2 earlier & they have one put aside when the new batch turns up

Well i am going to swap on the 20th i imagine its just firmware but it may be hardware so i'm playing safe. Since some non branded handsets do it i would not level the blame just at those handsets. If its just firmware then alot of phones could be the same so i would suggest asking the people you bought it off to make sure. :-)

Richard, I also work in o2 retail and I believe your not supposed to be breaching company information out like that especially when its only affecting a 1% of stock and worrying people.

I work for o2 (online division) as well, and it is not 1% of stock.. (god, why do head office or official memo's always play down the problem!). The % is certainly higher than that.
And, who gives a rats arse about breaching company information, it is in the public interest to know of problems with handsets that they are paying money for.
I had 74 phone calls today regarding problems with screen hanging and handsets that restart themselves.. And that is just me, 1 Customer Service Op.
Every customer has the right to be worried if they have bought this phone - there is something up with the firmware, and they have been sold a faulty product that o2 should have found it during the testing process (if they decided to have bothered!). |

Hi N3uro but with all due to respect you need to get off your compnay high horse and realise that our company is here to serve its customers and treat them and inform them the best way possible so that they may make decisions. The last thing the company needs is an o2 mascot spilling the gospel that is your version of the terms and conditions of employment. I was not trying to worry anyone, juts inform them of news that they are entitled to know and would find out anyway sooner or later with or without my help. |

o2 saying handset on the 20th, but does that mean shipping on the 20th or there getting the stock in on the 20th so you wont receive your mobile for a few day after |
