T68i vs Nokia 6610 |

Absolute rubbish! No vibrate, no e-mail client, no voice dialling or voice memos! I might give the 7210 a once-over, but the 66 looks like the old 3210's and it is severely lacking in a couple of must-have features! Yes, it's a Nokia with a nice, colour screen but it certainly doesn't have the style of my dazzling white T68i *with* Communicam. Even the 72 has no current plans for a camera attachment! Crap.

Also, I haven't seen a single picture of the S55's so-called colour screen! Have you?

I have T68 - it is very buggy according to NOKIA phones - now it (mine T68) is a second time in the service point for correcting those bugs and as said FOR TWO WEEKS!
6610 HAS vibrate (just checked - absolutely shure information!) and updates is always free for NOKIA. Actualy NOKIA was the first who had a free servisec!!! My T68 is in SC for two weeks now - NOKIA usualy gives NEW PHONE in such cases (NEVER LONG WAITINGS!)!!!
S55 is very bad and disapointing according to reports! (Yes it seems very good, but test says that not!)
And finaly:
6610:
+ NOKIA = NO BUGS!
+ 4096 colors, 128*128 (SUPER!)
+ polyphonic sounds (has vibrate!)
+ Stereo FM radio INSIDE(!)
+ INTERNAL(!) hands-free (VERY SUPER!!!)
+ changeable covers! (GOOD!)
+ Java (VERY GOOD!!!)
+ Port-Port
- no Bluetooth (not needed & it has port-port & IRDA instead)
- WAP 1.2.1
- no voice dial (not needed at all!)
T68(i):
- SonyEricsson = VERY BUGGY!
- 256 color, much smaller resolution! (BAD!)
- no polyphonic sounds
- no internal Stereo FM radio, external only
- no internal hands-free! (VERY BAD!)
- not changeable covers
- no Java (VERY BAD!)
- no port-port (but has bloetooth )
+ Bluetooth (Very good, but usualy not needed!)
+ WAP 2.0 (VERY GOOD!!!)
+ voice dial (not needed at all!)
? camera (NOT NEEDED AT ALL, ESPECIALY EXTERNAL!)
After this second going to Service Centre where mine phone was taken for two weeks from me. I'm seriosly thinking about change to 6610 ... its NOKIA = NO BUGS! (I had many Nokia phones before T68! So I know this!), good service and many things I realy need in this phone, only no WAP 2,0 is bad, but I can use WAP 1.2.1 - its not a problem! |

I have to disagree about Nokia phones, they are pretty buggy - don't fool yourself I have crashed the software on numerous occasions on most of the new and old models. GPRS is also a problem with Nokia. HOWEVER, that is not to say SE phones are not prone to software problems either.
As for a camera attachment, one is being planned but not widely advertised for MMS (will work on the 6610 as it is designed for the 7210).
Bluetooth - don't underplay this feature, so many people are impressed with this everytime they see it working between phones and devices.
And the Voice-dial feature, that may not be a big thing for you - but the Nokia does NOT support Voice Memo either - that means you cannot send your own sound clips as MMS messages.

The Nokia are not bugs free for sure! I just cannot remember how many times I've updated the 7110 sw... And it wasn't free, after the first year. With my wife's 3330 I'd just give up. I'm not going to buy a Nokia in the next months, unless they'll show something cool enough, and most of all play with GBA!

@Den
I agree with you.
But Nokia are not bugs free. Just for sure, i had the problem with my 8310 once and still using until now. Generally Nokia phone is more comfortable in handling.
And surely Nokia 6610 or 7210 will be my next phone to replace my 8310
I also enjoy with my t68i, only annoying with the very very slow menu response. Damm with this slow t68i processor. |
