i actually don't like o2, i have had problems with them before, i transferred my o2 contract number to o2 pay as you go, and i got a final bill from o2, for the contract, i tried paying it off, by calling them etc, but since i ported my number to pay as you go, they just didn't accept it, since it was not a contract number, so i said sod it, if they want to get me to pay they can send me a bill again, i got no bills, then checked my o2 email account and got emails from o2 saying they are going to disconnect me for non payment, n that they sent letters to my house which i got none. so i asked how much i owed, i payed it off, n yesterday tried getting an o2 contract for k750 n i got told i still owe money, when i already paid them what i owed, contacted 4 different depts at o2, and collections dept confirmed for me that i have paid up everything, howeverr the contract dept, system is not updated since i paid over a month ago, and is not taking my word that the collections people said i have paid up, arrgghh so much hassle with o2, so i just told the o2 lady in the shop to forget it. Out of all networks i agree with the guy who is looking to go back to orange, they are the best for cust service, plus free cust service to call them and let you try free stuff out for one month. and trust o2 cust service is sooo slow to get through to, n yeah the annoying thing is they play the most annoying music, and the mins comes off ur free monthly allowance.

I thought about you all being happy with 02. The network annoys me maybe because I've been on a different network for five years before and I have higher expectations for what network should offer. I never had any network reliability problems with Orange, however I do not like their branding - that was the reason I changed to 02.
As for counting minutes on the internal counters, I cannot be bothered ( too easy to forget to do it on the day), all I'm saying that normal networks you just call for free and thay can tell you.
As for *0#, if it is a common feature why 02 sales people did not know about it when I was asking them? - it was before January this year. If this feature is new (I don't know) there must be a lot of people not knowing that and it is not a common knowledge then - surely if you were with 02 for many years probably you never even though about it, and you do not need it. On my k700 I have to go into insert symbol in order to add *0#, I've also done it as a template but then I cannot use left joystick shortcut. As someone said "if you need it you can do it" - I am not going to differentiate when I need it and when I don't - I always need it, especially in London when people can be on the tube and you do not know when or if they got the sms.
One more thing which probably 02 users will not know: on Orange phone, when a message has been delivered you do not get a new text but a little tick in sent items. Nice feature.

I know I sound like a really misarable 02 hater - I just have higher expectations from a modern network - and cannot see how a network can get away by taking your inclusive minutes when you call their customer services - probably its their strategy to reduce those calls BTW I'm paying £30 for 200 minutes and my avarege bill is £45 after 6 months, my girlfriend pays £30 for 400 minutes and 100 sms on Orange, after they upgraded her after a year or so with them, now that's a difference.
Good luck everyone, but if phone is not too branded I'm going to Orange

I have considered going to Orange many times but I have always worked out that it would cost me more. The phones are really badly branded (most of them anyway) and my friends that are on Orange in my area quite often have problems getting a good reception. O2 has never lost reception in my area in the 9 months that I have been with them.
For others the reception issues could quite easily be reversed due to the area where they are but where I am it is not amazing.
