Hm, I upgraded to R1Y using setool standalone, and I have WordMate Lite installed. So WorldMate is still there for some reason in my case. I know some people have reported that it's gone after installing R1Y.

Try a Master Reset.... and perhaps YOUR worldmate will be gone afterwards too [addsig]

Quick question: Other than the usage of MS Duo Pro, the V800 seems identical to the Z800. Is this correct?

Yup, you guys was right, master reset did the trick. Not only WordMate has gone, but also several themes (from R1X) disappeared.

If you want back on your V800/Z800 Worldmate and/or some themes etc from R1X031 go to this web site in Spanish and youŽll get them free. Go to aplicaciones and temas or juegos etc etc, you have all there plus very good info

Since I upgraded to R1Y005 my SE carkit doesn't work correctly any more. The car-radio switched to "phone", but the speakers stay silent. Micro seems to work, but the speaker doesn't.
I did a master reset BEFORE and AFTER flashing. The phone switches to "CarKit" profile, so that's ok, too.

I use the predecessor of the HCA-200 (don't know the type anymore), which connects directly to my car-radio.

I reflashed R1X011 and all works again. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Recently, I purchased Japanese 802SE and replaced firmware by R1Y005.
Here is my findings on R1Y005

1. Handsfree device connection persists after call with handsfree

It occupy bluetooth all the time.
Other device (e.g. PDA) cannot communicate with Phone.
Persistent connection wastes battery.

2. Profile stays in Port.Handsfree after call with handsfree

Profile mode is forcefully moved to "Port.Handsfree" when I use handsfree device for call. After the call, it will NOT go back to "Normal" mode.
I don't know this is spec of this phone. But it's too troublesome to
change profile manually whenever finishing handsfree call.

I'm using handsfree device HBH-662. It works fine when it's paired with T610.
I think R1Y005 has serious bugs on handling bluetooth devices.

@satoyasu

good info. R1X031 seems to be the most stable Z800 fw at the present time.

What makes you think that either one of them would not support MS duo Pro?

@Vlammetje,

In the tech specs for the v800, I did not see it mentioned about the MS Duo Pro, but I think you and I PM's about this a week or so ago. I found that the only difference between the v800 and z800 is: no SyncML and only 7 megs of memory in the v800 while the z800 has them both.

@sapporobaby

ich have a V800 (swisscom) and it has SyncML in the original Voda-Software, I use it since December.
It also supports MS Pro Duo, I have a 512MByte and I could test one of the latest 2GB Sticks. No problems at all.
I flashed the latest Z800 firmware and both features still work ok.

@Kimi,

Yes!!!!!!! I can not see a reason to buy a z800 at all now. Sure it has 64 onboard memory but with a 512 or 1 gig MS Duo Pro, who cares. How do you like the phone. Vlam says that he likes his quite a bit. Mine will be a Vodafone as well when it gets here in about a week. Did you use the .mp3 DRM wrapper to make your own ringing tones or did you debrand yours?

I know, quite a few questions, but I think that I will like this phone. I plan to retire my s700i to the backup position and use the v800 as my main phone.

I just bought the v800...
I can't get the callers' pic on the external screen while calling. Is it normal? Can the z800 firmware do that?

I would like to upgrade my v800 firmware as well to the z800 R1Y005 firmware. But how should I proceed with this ?
Where can I download it?

http://www.topservi.com/v800 is under construction
www.setool.net --> how to register for the support page?

Thx mates
