Fatreg:

you can upgrade whenever you want, just sometimes it costs, but when they tell me its gonna cost money, you just threaten them with leaving, then they put their manager on, and he'll give you a free upgrade.

And also, yes, my contract costs £55 p/m, but I go over the limit occasionally adding up to my most of £101.50, but the next contracts above it don't suit me.

Basically thats my method, a bit of threatening that you'll leave them, and bartering.

BTW, never upgrade online, you get the worst deals by a long way!

I'll post more info at a later date!

I have now got a deal and I belive it to be good, but it took a lot of getting. I was getting ready to leave and go to O2 as they offer the P910i for free but Vodafone were really trying their best to give me nothing as an incentive to stay! ever since I started this thread I have been calling Vodafone and keep getting told phone will be £300 then £250 etc etc until Friday of this week when I called 191 and was told its £225 and will never be cheaper take it or leave it! so I thought I will try a Vodafone store and hey presto they will upgrade me for £125
from the store I call 191 upgrades and get told OK we made as mistake we can do it for £125 as well! so I say not good enough and they put me throught to "Price matching dept" who say we can do it for £70 but it will never be free. The next day I had had enough and called 191 and took the leaving vodafone option this time I get told we cannot give the phone for free but we can give you £15 per month off your line rental for 12 months and let you have the phone for £70 over ten months interest free! so I got the phone for free and £7 per month off my bill for 10 months and £15 per month off my bill for 2 months I think thats a good deal but how silly are vodafone all I wanted was a free phone still I know what to do next time!!!! Hope this long rambling post will help others get what as customers they deserve! Vodafone waste millions and millions of the pounds and euros we spend with them on sponsorship programs designed to give their senior execs and big share holders a nice fashionable freebie every now and then! time we got something back go get -em guys!!!!!
