Well, now i'm having a role of 0.50m*5 meters... that's 2.5m² of that plastic. It costs 2-6 euro depending in which store you buy it.

Consider the S700 screen: 0.04m*0.06m = 0.0024m² or 24cm².
So if you can cut the plastic in a good way you can cover +- 1040 S700 screens with one role.

@dirk thanks but i was talking about the length of the screen-shield which i can get from the market and not the hand-made one.

@ Manish, I don't think you r getting the point... Screen Protectors are available custom made for different screens sizes, unless u want to cut up a 400 buck screen protector meant for a PX00 screen.
As you can see This Screen protector is specific for the P910.
Acc. to me screen protectors are better for PDA's with touch screens..

Since you have a 6600, a simple cover like this would suffice to protect your screen, unless u have a fetish for scratching the screens of non-touch screen phones with sharp objects.

@vin...you sure its worth 400/-...i got a set of protectors for Rs 150/- ...some minor tinkering with a scissor and a ruler..and it fits my p9 like it was applied during production...And the set came complete with a dry & wet tissue for cleaning dust and lint off the screen & a squeezee card to apply the film without leaving air bubbles...pretty neat stuff

@mrao, look at the pic i posted... this one is 400 bucks... imported and custom made for the P910 screen... your's must be different if u had to use scissors and stuff..
Mine too came with a Special cloth for screen cleaning..

@oogie...i did have a close look at the one you posted....it doesnt look much different....the only thing i had to do was to snip off a centimetre wide strip off the length and apply it....no sweat, no complications, no mess...the protector matches the width of the screen perfectly but is longer by 1 cm in length...no big deal....
and errrm....this one was imported too ...everything on the pack is in French....fortunately i can read, speak and understand un peux francaise...so no prob there...
