Then Theres no reason why it shouldn't work! Are you sure you have full gprs activated? Thats the only loophole left.

A gprs account which can be used to surf the internet using the phone as a modem.

Ok that seems to be the prob. Mine is hutchworld and i think what you're talkin about is hutchaccess which allows to surf on a pc using the phone as a modem. Anyway thanks for the help:-)

No problem. How much is the difference in tariffs between these two schemes? And you got airtel there?

Hutchworld is just rs.99/month whereas hutchaccess is rs.499/month. Ya we've got Airtel over. Actually i'm from karnataka. Where are you from?

I'm in Maharashtra. I pay only 150 bucks for unlimited usage. I guess airtel is cheaper there too. Their rates vary from place to place. Do post in the SE India thread.

Thats cheap. Never tried Airtel except for the free gprs with access to its homepage only. Is it true that the mms profile gives access to free browsing.
