D500 is overhyped without any good reason.
samsung is still samsung, they are trying to catch up to brands such as moto, nokia and SE. but they are still far behind.
don't buy samsung phones, unless you want to make a fool out of yourself, sorry masseur but its my opinion
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

no problem. you're welcome to your opinion as is everyone here
there are so many different opinions here about the D500 that it intrigued me enough to get the phone, so I can form my own opinion based on actually spending time with it and checking out all its features and usability
I'll give it a go over the next week

very interested to see how you find it massuer, quite tempted as my contract is up v.soon but dont want anything as big a my p900 any more, i still use it but not all the time. the biggest thing putting me off the d500 is the lack of expandable memory, all i want from a phone now is a good calender, easy UI and a big capacity for mp3's dont really want a camera!

I'm not committing to any more reviews at the moment as I am a little behind already. Nearly finished the JAM review but then still have the V3 to do. More important things keep getting in the way

the phone is only giving you an acurate reading of who you phone
i have read your dislikes with the phone and to be honest none of them are an issue for me, other than your hates, would you actualy recommend it?

Well, as a phone it does sure work, but it has a few annoying things, and that is, if you want to use BT headset the BT has to be on before you make or recive a call. Speaker on = death for battery the talk time is a joke and that you really have to decide if you want to talk alot @ once or just keep it @ standby... cause the battery lifetime is a total joke.
anyway... the only pro i can give is the cam its really nice, the colours comeout right, but the display on the cam doesnt show the actuall pic size you take. you get a little more after you have taken the pic, you will notice a bit more on the sides..
um well im not going to spoile everything for you, just explore it, recomend you buy it from a place where you can return it if you dont want it that is.. |

Zeggi, you do seem to be clutching at straws.
They seem to be more niggling querks then major issues.
Never had a Samsung so I might be wrong but I'll find out next month

I'm enjoying using the d500 this week and I quite like it. Obviously I am keeping my JAM but its going to be a hard choice to part with the D500 and keep the V3 (so I might just have to keep both!)

I also got a D500, mainly because I'm sick of the P900 when I go out. Thats a fcking brick! So the D500 is pretty much the smallest you can get that has a decent bluetooth and is slide/and/or clamp (fits better in jeans pockets)
Anyway, I got it for a week, and I tought it was "ok" so far, nothing exceptional but OK. I don't give a damn about the camera. the shots looks horrible anyway compared to a real (even a small, try a Pentax Optio) camera. The mp3 player I don't give a damn either, I got the iPod Shuffle that has 1GB.
Anyway, I still was reasonably happy with it until tonight, where it went into "low bat craze". I want to get the battery *dead* to recharge it fully a couple times, and the stupid phone has been making that annoying "friendly" noise every 2 minutes *and power up the screen backlight* to remind me I was running out of battery.
Now, and STUPID is that ? I know I have no battery, what the fsck using battery to tell me that every 3 minutes is going to help ? I want to keep the remaining of it for MY use!

You could say the same with smoke alarms. Why do they beep every minute or so to tell you that the battery is low.
I would find it much better than my K700i that tells you 30sec before it dies.
Can't you just turn the warning sound off?

Because a smoke alarm is important, its life saving equipment and how many people dont replace the batterys without knowing there dead? |
