You do not have access to the full voda portal, only txt mode i am led to believe. This has been dicussed a 1001 times

Vodafone's WAP portal supports most of the popular phones via XML stylesheets to optimise output for the various screen sizes and fonts etc. This is used for downloads as well, except unrecognised phones do not have a generic catch-all stylesheet that exists for displays. Therefore you will have difficulty downloading ringtones etc.
Vodafone do not mind adding your phone to the stylesheet as it adds extra revenue, but it requires quite a lot of testing first (part of the reason for the delay in some phone launches) and is unlikely to happen for unsupported phones that do not have the numbers to justify the work.
