@anyone in Australia
Have you watched any tennis match in the Australian open? I think it would be good to bring a cam phone and seat near the tennis court and snap pictures of Lleyton (he's so cute!) and the tennis babes. |

try driving around the ACT and regional NSW in autumn.
Aussie Day was spent at home with my wife watching "our Alicia" lose to Lindsay Davenport in a close contest, then watching the Hewitt kiddy get up over David Nalbandian in five.
btw - koalas are not, and have never been, bears. they are marsupials (i.e. a mammal with a pouch), and are simply called "koalas".
@mass: i see you borrowed my flag!

About that Australian Open . . . I just hate to see Maria Sharapova (prettiest of them all) lost to one of the Williams sisters !

I worked for the first half of Aussie day, then got home, relaxed on the end of a few Bundy Rums and coke. Then finished the night off with a few XXXX Bitters.
Ahhh.. what it means to the a Queenslander

Lets have an Aussie Stereotype convo.
For Oz Day, I had some shrimps on the barbie, I wore thongs, a singlet, and short shorts.
My pet koala and my pet kangaroo were annoying me all day for food, and a dingo ate my baby cause it was hungy.
I also dropped my cork hat into the pool and couldn't fish it out because I also have a pet Great White Shark in there.
Stereotypes suck.
mmmmm rum!

meanwhile... I was sittin' on the back porch where I have a great view over my 50,000 acre property with a million sheep grazing while watching Crocodile Dundee on the box
My wife Sheila was making sure I was kept fuelled with cold ones while she brewed up some tea in the billy
while all this was going on... Bruce, my son and named after me, was busy playing cricket with his mates while Sheila, my daughter was practicing her boomerang skills...
