Thanks to voda_jon for exposing this myth for what it is. Quite a number of people - myself inclusive - had bought the lie hok, line and sinker.

@voda_jon: I'm sorry, but I have another question. Is'nt 3 owned by Hutchinson (known as hutchinson 3g) ?
If so, because if you have a close look at this site you will see that here in India hutchinson, or hutch are owned by orange.  Very confusing.

If orange own 3, then what is orange 3g?
Its like Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola being owned by the same comany.

Orange do not own 3!!
Orange Uk are owned by france telecom,
granted Orange UK and Orange and are in the same group of companies such as Orange Hong Kong, who are owned by hutchinson.
we are NOT owned by hutchinson and neithet do we own hutchinson,
we used to be owned by hutchinson but were bought by france telecom.
www.orange.com for all the Orange group of companies!
