The only major upgrade the t290i has is a speaker phone but i got a trick tht cn give the t230 a speaker phone also!

Does the T290 has 1.1 Mb memory like Whizkid says?? I thought it has less memory because the aditional T9 dictionarys

Alright then. The trick goes like this. Go2 ring composer and press the * button 100 times. After that u'll save the tone. In order for it to work,everytime you get or make a call u'll have to go2 that tone and then presto....instant speaker phone. Try it if you want.

1.1 mb is the total memory of the phone (default, undelatable stuff included) about 900mb is available for the user to play with...good ennuf for a low end handset.
