I have had more failure than success but hey, thats part of the fun isn't it ?
In a crowded bar the other night I must have tried 4 or 5 times with only one 'should've bought a sony message' getting through and to make matters worse they guy it went to had renamed his phone, so for all I know he may well have been a fellow user

@marlonski: Would have been fun if you had bluejacked me with that message. I'd have had a hearty laugh over it :-)

@AYA lol
I recently renamed my phone just in case it happened to me...anybody picking up mine whilst searching for new devices will see 'K700i Tron'
What actually confuses me is if all phones ask for a passkey then unless your bluejack is accepted it won't work ? or is it the case that some phones don't require the passkey ?
I've managed to bluejack a few nokia's so I'm scratching my heeed a little here
Anyone shed any light on this ?

Ideally, the passkey is required only if you attempt to pair your device with another. That has been my regular experience but for one wierd time a Sharp GX15 I was attempting to bluejack asked for one!

Ok that makes sense....thanks with that in mind i would have to agree that it is weird that some accept and some don't. Oh well, just adds to the fun I suppose not knowing whether it will be recived or not

Yes my friend I suppose it is
It's all a bit of fun really ! I'm just waiting for someone to say that they have been violated via their b/t connection and for bluejacking to be outlawed
btw....nice interview with scotsboy

@marlonski: :lol: I have heard a few individuals suggest the outlaw bit. Question is, if bluejacking is outlawed & you get b'jacked, how do you identify the culprit in order to prosecute? Personally, I would stay on the side of the law, but this should give them something to think about :-D

@AYA Very good question and very difficult to answer me thinks but I'll have a stab at it anyway.......Bluejack Police and of course the Hollywood blockbuster that follows with the lead going to Tom Cruise or if it goes straight to rental then Jaun Claude Van Damme picking up the part
Seriously tho I agree with what your saying, imho I think it would be very difficult to pick the culprit out of a crowd unless the victim had caught them red handed.
I don't believe it'll be outlawed, at least not in it's true form whereby the majority of people doing it at the mo are phone fans and are doing it once in a while for a bit of fun, and from my experience not having that much success
