Can't Bluejack because of password |

I've heard all this talk about bluejacking to strangers. I.e. pranks on your mates. This all sounds very humorous. But when I tried to do it I run into the problem of needing a password to connect to the other persons phone. How is everyone else getting by this?

welcome to Esato
you are trying to pair with his phone which you don't do when bluejacking
simply create a contact with some humours text and choose to send it from within the contacts menu via bluetooth. you will be shown devices that are in range so then you simlpy choose one of those and hopefully you have done your first bluejack

Thanks for the quick reply, I did try that but it still requested a password. I have a Nokia 6600, maybe it just enforces it. (

@masseur: That is how it is done, but I ran into this same issue. I bluejack via Sman on my p800. This day, found 3 devices, my old man's 6310i, a T630 & a GX15. The 1st two went thru without a hitch, but the GX15 requested for a passkey. 1st & only time I experienced that.

@David_S
Getting a new phone won't get you nowhere.
The passkey request is a security feature from the phone you're trying to connect. Not a lacking feature of the phone you're using.

ive got a 6600, (and a P900, and t68i) and you just bluejack someone the same as you would with most phones, create a new contact, and then press options, and then send, then Via bluetooth, et voila! sounds like you are trying to pair with a phone not just send it contacts, which you DONT need to do. |
