for unlocking, try www.davinciteam.com software..
all u need is a dss25 or a t28 cable and a credit (w/c i can sell you at US$9.00 each) via paypal

hehe, oh yes please help me i know nothing about sony ericsson firmware unlocking 
may i give you a recommendation, ditch davinci team and use setool.

or even easier... get a job with the big V an get the unlock codes for zilch, nader not a penny! its as easy as clicking a mouse and typing in a code....  |

setool is cheap, only one credit needed for full decustomize of all new SEMC phones even V800. Also has excellent support. have a look

buy a griffin box. it will unlock all sorts of phones, including sony Ericssons and other non nokia phones.
if i'm i'm not mistaken, it's a device that connects to your pc, comes with about 30 wires (to connect with different handsets). I think it automically enters the codes etc and unlocks the phone.
the only downside is they cost at leat £150. unless you intend to make a profit, goto a market stall or speak to your network.

I'm on vodafone pay as you talk and i called up and asked for my NCK (Network Unlock Code) and was given it over the phone. I told the operator i was upgrading my software with a sony ericsson sync station but the phone required the code, simple as...
Apparantly your NCK code is specific to your IMEI number so i can't see any software being able to do this, unless there are any manufacturer "backdoor" passwords somebody has.

Yes, that is correct. I just had a phone unlocked from T-Mobile USA and they needed my IMEI number and then they gave me the unlock code.
However, there is software out there that can do it for you. I haven't seen any SE software but I've been using software to unlock several Nokia phones and it's very simple.
