@govigov...from my experience with siemens,i must say i've found them very reliable.i owned the c35,s55,sl55 and cx65,and never had a single problem at all.in its day the s55 was a force to be reckoned with...just a pity about the illogical menu setup, and slow innovation thesedays.

Thank you mrao and k700nut. It is sad they are forced to close shop or go into merger. :-(

I still have my S55 and i will stick my neck out and claim it to be a better phone than the T68i.
Why?
Open filesystem
Much better addressbook
Able to update fw at home 1½ years before SE
Polytones (i am comparing to the T68i, remember)
missed calls and incoming SMS/MMS icons on standby screen.
Menu not at all worse thatn SE, only different IMO.
Very sturdy, girlfriend did a bounce and skid at parking lot resulting only in minor cosmetic damage.
Happy owner of: Ericsson GH198, S868, SH888, R310s, T10s, T28s, A2618s, T39m x2, T68m, T66, SE t68i, T610, S700i, Nokia 2110i, 6210, 8310, 8850, 8890 and 6680 Siemens S55

The s55 is also very handy, good streamlined design and every button can be assigned to any shortcut.
a good phone no doubt but with a poor screen.
