Many of the downloads, ie java games are premium services that have to be payed for so that could be one source of income.

Another could be affilate programs with some well known websites?

I am sure SE is paying him a little back hander and he aint saying much.He did say in his interview that he did speak to SE and no real response but that they knew about Esato...somehow I dont think thats were it ended.

I doubt very much those download thins eg ringtones and stuff are making much money due to the fact that 98% of you guys dont even download them and if you do then you share them free of charge...

@scottyd: Really, its not so difficult to see how this site can be generating a lot of money. Many of the possible avenues have been mentioned by one person or the other. But it would be good to have him say so-and-so. But then, this thread would lose steam & die off if he suddenly did that; woulnt it? So we continue to spin our yarns, he continues to look on. Till he tires. Laffen!

Laffen has spoken. I'm not going to tell you how I get my money (and I've nothing to hide) so why should anyone else?

You think ? Why is this service still up then if it didn't generate enough money and why is Laffen quoted for the testimonial of mobile media platform ( check the sponsored links ) ? Think about it

Google adsense must add an important part also ...

i really cant see those adds making a lot of money, but i suppose if he had trouble once with hardware etc maybe the adverts payed to upgrade that and then all he needs to look after is the webspace or whatever if that makes any sense.

whatever he did he maganged to make a good turnaround maybe he could help some other buissnesses lol.

I have always found money to be an extremely vulgar subject to discuss in public. I have no wish to discuss my financial affairs or have them discussed by other people, I would imagine that laffen feels the same, perhaps indicated by his minimal response to this thread.

The LAST time I've discussed this with his HIGHNESS is when he told me that in order for this site to - run, he should 'dole out' around US$ 900.00/month ! See what this GOOD guy is doing to all of us, he could have just used that money to get him a 'nice' car (installment) on that amount, instead he is . . . using it to accomodate us fellas. He just believes in - spread your wealth and NOT in GIVE-ME your assets !
