The cable is always "Hot" so that you don't have to have your computer turned on in order to charge the AX...

I don't know if it's my computers or what but I find that on 3 difference computers, none would charge the AX when off. Computers have to be on or in hibernation mode to charge AX.
If it weren't for bad lucks, I would have no lucks at all.

Depends if the BIOS (or a small jumper on the mobo) of the PC has been programmed to be able to switch it on with the mouse, the keyboard or a USB peripheral.

Yes, it is a feature supported by only one of my computers. The AX does not stay charging on the others after the computer is shut down completely. As the member said, must be a BIOS thing??

Also, I was recently told that the "5G" is not jawbone technology but uses the same microphone components fromt he "Invisio" jawbone headset units. Higher quality and more sensitive than the microphone components in the AX...it was necessary to achieve the size of the "5G"...

Well, it is more than a BIOS thing: the mobo must support two +5V lines, and the power supply must have a second +5V line that is not switched off when shutting down the PC.
Recent PCs have it.
