I edited the title and deleted the solution names from the original thread. Hope this satisfies everyone. Ispoke yesterday with guys from SE Service Center about these solutions and I don't see the reason why we shouldn't.

This thread is ment to be pro and contra unofficial solutions and to get some conclusion. That's why I wanted all the people to share their experiences. I am sure the ones that are against unofficial solutions will give good reasons why not, and that the others that are not against unofficial solutions will also give good reasons why?

with reference to the warning message in the first post I just can say that I will not make any comment on this topic since I in no way support unauthorized unlocking/flashing of phones...

@ Cytech

Thank you for your answer. With all the respect can you please comment on SE removing R2AA from EMMAII and the thing that they said in OFFICIAL SE Service Center in Zagreb/Croatia that there is no free software for Croatian market for K700 that will allow you use of SE US (All K700i software in a way is tied up to one of the network providers in Croatia). So they had to flash software from Oskar - Czech GSM operator.

Thanks

R2AA003 was removed due to some problems with communication between mobile (both for K700 and K500) and PC ... a new firmware is said to be released in week 43.
If there is no regional unbranded firmware depends on if the phone is sold unlocked/unbranded in the country, if it isn't sold like this, there is no original firmware for theese languages available.

Thanks ... The thing is that the phone is sold unbranded/unlocked in Croatia for the price of about 450 eur in the official SE distributor shops and their partner shops... But still the phones come with Operator customized software (nothing big, but Data Accounts and Intenet profiles after Master Reset).

Take care

why only some version are available through update service I don't know... but a guess is that it must be approved by local in your country in order to have your local language version on the update service...
