Firstly I believe counters are great for working out the knowledge of some people here. Sad but I slightly look up to people with 500> not because their on here all the time but they might just know what they are talking about.

The number of posts made has nothing to do with knowledge really.
A LOT of posts in here are like: "Why?", "How?", "I agree", "Me too" and so on. In the "counting" forums these posts are added to the postcount and are difficult to edit or delete since that will, in many cases, knacker the rest of the topic.
So, a high post count could actually mean that that person has a learning difficulty.

@tranquil - Hmmmm . . . does that mean that the guy who is at #1 position now (most # of posts made) is a 'slow-learner' ? |

Vlammetje - Yeah, maybe it just makes sense of not adhering to the 'ranking' system I just came into thinking, say you are a newly registered member here, and you manage to make, say, 10 posts at present, most probably you'll be getting the 47,637th (assuming) ranking? For the oldies, that will just be a shocking revelation once seen (when not updated with the new system at that-if ever), as it even surpassed the mod's 9500++ total number of made posts |

Not that I particuarly care, but some other forums have 'titles' that are granted to members when they reach a certain number of posts; how popular would such a system be on Esato? It might be quite fun if we had some funny titles.
