I was in China recently for the GP roaming with my k700 on China Mobile. Whenever i made a phone call the k700 would warn me that the "Cipher off" feature had been forced, and a little exclamation mark appeared in the status bar. Whether this is a result of the lack of network support, or the fact that i was a foreigner in a communist country is anyone's guess!

The no encryption icon! One of those features you only know from the manual! So it is relevant after all. |
