I'd like the option for the volume switch to trigger backlight on for a short while so I could see the clock at night.

I keep my phone in my pocket, so I have backlight auto off and keypad autolock. The floating clock is great but I can't see it in the dark. Despite the keypad being locked, at least two keys respond different to other keys - the "No" button and the volume slider. If you press and hold the "No" key for long enough, the phone still powers off. If you move the volume slider, the Status screen comes on.

I agree only about the sms tone.... You complain about the led and the scrn svr but: with the screensaver you can see the time, and with the led you can understand whether there is signal or not and whether the battery is ok or if it is low. Isn't these what you are asking for?? "it would be really nice if we could see things such as time/battery/signal/sms/missed calls". About the sms and the missed calls, ok, you are not wrong , but i don't need that, so..... However i agree that many people complain about these issues. But i think would have changed all these since the T68m.... I don't think they will change these now.....

1. Blinking L.E.D.- always been good you can tell at a glance if you have a signal.

2. SMS tone - Needs to be changed i am always missing SMS alerts.with the older software/phones the L.E.D. used to blink faster for missed SMS/Calls untill you noticed it.

3.Clock - I like it.

The SMS tone is too low. We should be able to assign an own one. The Clocksaver.. hmm.. I kinda like it But yes, there should be some kind of indication on that clock-screensaver when a call is missed or an SMS received.

jr_rca.... I see your point, but at the end of the day if they are going to upgrade the firmware to fix bugs, if they added only one of the things, lets say the option to turn off the blinking led, if keeps 20% of users happy, and encourages people to by their phone more, its a win-win situation.
I must admit, to expect them to do all the things on the list would be highly optimistic, but some of them are very simple to do in the firmware, and wouldn't go unappreciated by users.
My t68i will be my phone for the next 18months hopefully niggles or not, and I think the benefits to SE of fixing at least one of these niggles greatly outweigh any developement costs.

1. Blinking LED: I agree! We should be able to enable/disable that in a Profile. So I can set a Sleeping Profile with LEDS OFF
2. SMS tone: Yes, agree! I liked the old ericsson alot better, but being able to set it to whatever tune I like is even better!
3. The Clock Screen Saver. I really do not care about that.
But I have more to the list:
4. I would like an Email tone like we have an SMS tone!
5. Auto Email check at every 10 or 15 mins not just the every 5 or 30 mins we have now.
6. T68i should be able to convert HTML emails into Text emails. Simply strip the HTML tags and Images when receiving! This would make it possible to view almost any email I receive.
7. I would like to be able to set the AutoKey lock in a Profile. Because when I use my InPocket Profile I want AutoKeyLock On and when I use my Home Profile I want AutoKeyLock off.

remix...

your concern is respected. but i hope that the people who signed for the petition are not former nokia users.

for me the blinking led is very important, it indicates signal life and thats a unique ericsson feature. ok the annoying is the message alert tone...

cheers!!
