The guys at Verizon are probably lucky that he didn't turn the gun on them instead.

sammy I lived in the USA for a spell and I promise you that nobody I knew owned a firearm. Not all that normal to own one. You CAN indeed buy firearms at wallmart but not without proper license. Still I think its ridiculous to make weapons seem so 'normal'.

Yeah i don't know anyone who owns a gun--well 2 people. One's a cop and the other's a federal agent.

I think my view of the US is a bit innacurate by the looks of things!

I used to live in maine and since hunting is a big sport there I would say that every other household owned at least one gun. In fact when i was young I lived next to a survivalist type gut who owned around 50 or so of them and even made his own explosives! So I think it really depends on where you are in America.

while i can still see the use of a hunting rifle (for hunting obviously, not for 'self defense') I still fail to see why anybody should need to own a revolver/pistol

That brand of phone he shot up seem to take a hell of a lot of stick, i have heard lots of stories of poor build quality, constant breakages etc. Probably wouldnt pass BSI tests.
