i do like clamshells, the only reason being the internal screen wont get scratched very easily. But i prefer candybar phones.

Give me my brick! My father owns some motorola clamshell and his screen is scratched as bad as any other phone Ive seen. Also, some clams are a bit tender but some will take a beating, such as being stood on (hehe, dont try to play pool with a phone in your shirt pocket). But some clams are just plain revolting. If the screen is placed lower then the keypad when it is open, it deserves to be chucked in the bin and you should rush out and buy a brick.

I prefer bricks, because the form factor is smaller than an open flip. Important for bluejacking.
