Just bought one today. Dont know the firmware version yet as its on charge. Hope its not a first edition version though as I couldnt cope with another bug ridden phone. Its why I went off Nokia and onto but just lately I've found my P900 had too many software faults/bugs and had to be sent away.

True. Nokia is hit and miss with software. I've been put off by them too much now though. Will never go back to one. Perents swear by their Nok 3410's
Have been using my K700 for about a week now and am happy with it. The only other phone I was this pleased with was the T68i (my first phone).
A few of the problems I found:-
When I first turned it on and started to set the phone up the battery drain was rapid and had to be put back on charge after 2 hours. The battery life has now increased to 2-3 days depending on how much i used it.
First time I tried to use the camera it turned the phone off and automaticaly restarted. This has only happened once.
There is a slight delay accessing menus & sound but its tolerable and should be sorted in a few firmware updates I think.
Number 2 button feels wobbily and raised higher than the other buttons. Also if pressed hard enough can get lodged on the underside of the phone housing.
Do find buttons have to be pressed harder than normal but again it is tolerable.
All in all I think these are very minor problems and I will be using this as my primary phone instead of my P900 (if it ever gets home to me. Still waiting for manufacturer to return it). Actually come to think about it. The K700 seems to have a lot less faults than the P900 and my K700 has also lasted longer before breaking down.
Again. Very pleased with my purchase.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose |

Well I am definitely 'NOT' I guess I will be needing that software upgrade after all folks! As I am seeing new 'faults' with my SE K700i as the day progresses . . . I should have just stayed with my Nokia 7610 back then, If I only can turn back the hands of time mates
from this 'faulty' SE K700i fone model:
to my old/understated but ever relaible Nokia 7610:
after 'wasting' 16 days of my precious time !

Damn... you guys give money for mobiles like i do for clothing
My K700i had half its screen pixels burnt. I gave it in to be fixed, but i don't know if those jerks understand.. or pretend they don't understand what the problem is.. You see there is no SE in my country.. just a company that represents them

The phone is perfect with these exceptions, prioritized:
1. No external memory
2. No bluetooth java (JSR-82)
3. No fullscreen video
4. No Mophun
As a developer number 1 and number 2 would be of fantastic use to me.
No 3 would be fun on my way to work on the subway (watch episodes of Futurama or Simpson...)
And no 4 would motivate me to work on mophun games...
