Hey, I can't figure out how to get my phone to even connect through the DCU-11 cable - would any of you mind giving a quick little tutorial?

Thx

The DCU cable is very slow!! You should buy the DSS-25 stand to get fast speeds. I have the DCU cable and I sold it because it is too slow and now I got the DSS stand and the speed is faster!!!

Go to

My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
Under «Ports (Com & Lpt)» you should see a DCU-11.
Click properties and check the port settings. [addsig]

The port speed is set to 128kbits/s, I still get ~1kb/s

Anyone had any success with this? DSS-20 runs at about 1KB/s max, regardless of port settings. Several minutes for a photo.

Good for upcoming firmware updates, but that's about it.

OK, I'm going to answer my own question!

Spoke to SE - it's a problem with the phone (S700) and MAY be corrected with the next firmware release, possibly in December.

He also suggested that my S700 should not do the occasional restart, and it should not have a dead pixel.

Dead pixel shown below:

Guys this has been suggested before in other threads -

Use FMA (Float Mobile Agent) Software to transfer files, its at least 5 times faster -

http://fma.sourceforge.net/index2.htm

it works with any tranfer media.

I've got SE P910i and SE K700i. The speed with p910 is 16kb/s and k700 is 8kb/s(with FMA) . I'm trying to connect the both devices with DSS-25 station, which came with the p910.
How can I transfer files with faster speed.

Guys, as kllr_dude posted, this is a known issue relating to SE software. Use FMA or K700 Dateimanager (http://k700.hitziger.net/index.php?id=infos&language=en) which communicates directly to the COM port (or emulation for USB). With my old DRS-11 serial cable, I get ~9k/s which is under 2mins/1mb with the latest version of K700 Dateimanager.
