I have never understood why someone would want the phone playing music for them for a short time before picking up. If I want to listen to some music I turn on my car stereo or whatever. Also, people are annoyed by those silly tones in public places. I just want my phone to have a good normal tone that's descreet but that I will hear loud and clear without drawing other peoples attention.
In a couple of years people will look back on this matter laughing at having had their favorite song playing for about 5 seconds before picking up.
Last but not least: Some people do spend time and money on finding their favorite "song" to use in their phone. Then, when it do ring on the bus or wherever, they get embaressed and hurry answering while mumbling something about that "damn music".
