Not normally a fan of Nokia, but this phone looks pretty awesome... Not really comparable to anything SE have I think, as it runs on Series 60 - possibly compare it to the Sendo X (which has only just started shipping in Europe!!).

Nokia didn't just buy Psion's Symbian shares and start making money in the smartphone market. Series 60 is the most successful and popular UI for Symbian and it was entirely developed by Nokia. That is something you can't underestimate.

Btw. After purchasing Psion's Symbian shares, Nokia has openly encouraged other share holders (including SE) to buy more too.

Nokia is now "smart" as they have the largest range of smartphones. I believe in the coming months Nokia will release more series 60 based phones.

As more and more consumers realised the full potential of smartphone, these phones will be very desirable. With smartphone, it is you (and not the phone maker) who determine what functionality that the phone has.

yes i agree that as mobiles evolve, smartphones will become 'the norm' and spread across the market.

Listen as i will not be found saying this very often 'the 6260 is a very nice nokia'

there said it. [addsig]

Really, i have to say...most people sound 5 years old when saying Nokia's shit or whatever and vice versa without facts to back it up...If you're gonna post an opinion, try to make it as objective as possible...If I were a moderator, i would delete igorant posts such as eskay's post (you failed to backup your "better software" theory, i've never had problems downloading pics and tones with SE phones)...

NOW, for my opinion, I don't really like Nokia mainly for design purposes, but I have to admit that this phone is a major improvement from what I've seen lately...

Not that I would buy one

Why the menu says "cameras", does it have more than one camera?

It could refer to the Video Call Stand PT-8 which comes with a software RS-MMC

..or it just counts the video camera function as another camera, lol

I just remembered that the 6260 looks suspiciously like Samsung's cancelled D700. I'm begining to think that Nokia might have exerted some influence in that direction. so much for series 60 licensing.
